This is an evidence based web site. Unlike our competition that uses trademark names and unsubstantiated claims to promote their mattresses, we use volumes of evidence to promote the Perfection Sleep System®. Just surf this site and you'll see what we mean.
We also applied the same common sense to our products as researchers do when working with durable products. Durable products, like cars, have replaceable parts, and our Perfection Sleep System® design makes all other latex and memory foam mattresses obsolete. The best part is, our mattresses cost less than a "comparable" Tempur-Pedic®. Contact us today for more informaton about our top-quality yet affordable natural latex/memory foam mattresses. |

Our Competition As you probably already know, Tempur-Pedic® is the biggest name in memory foam mattresses. You see and hear their commercials all over television, radio, and print. Their name recognition is remarkable. But compared to our Perfection Sleep System®, name recognition is the only thing that Tempur-Pedic® has over us. We will easily give credit where credit is due, and Tempur Pedic® deserves a lot of credit for making a remarkably unique feeling product. But that is as far as it goes.

The Difference Tempur-Pedic®, as well as all other memory foam mattresses, utilizes lightweight, low-density polyurethane foam as their support foam. Polyurethane, better known as "poly" in the mattress industry, is made from petroleum, so it is essentially plastic foam. Plastic foam softens substantially and quickly with use. This characteristic makes all other memory foam mattresses inferior to our Perfection Sleep System, which utilizes natural latex foam rubber as the support foam. Secondly, our topper foam, either memory foam or latex, is replaceable which prevents the owner from buying a whole new mattress for a long time. Lastly, our Perfection® mattresses have no fire-retardant chemicals. These three basic quality differences makes it far and above the best buy for the money.
High Density Foam Visco-elastic memory foam is also polyurethane. For the exception of really inexpensive, no-name memory foam mattresses, most manufacturers utilize high-density memory foam. For example, Tempur® by Tempur-Pedic® weighs 5.3 pounds per cubic foot, which is considered high density memory foam. Nevertheless, like the simple polyurethane foam, it too will soften. The higher the density the slower it softens and thus the longer it lasts. This is why the Perfection® Venus utilizes 8.0 pound memory foam giving you the most for your money. |

Hello, my name is Lee Carter. I started Sleep Essentials as a result of my own search for the perfect mattress for my back pain. Before I started my mattress retail store, I purchased, as an average consumer, three different mattresses in this effort. The first was promoted as a back supporter mattress and it absolutely killed my back. The second was an individually coiled innerspring mattress and while it was an improvement over the first mattress, it still didn't meet my needs. The third mattress I purchased within six years was a firm memory foam mattress that was a very close duplicate of Tempur-Pedic®. This mattress offered the absolute best support and back pain relief while I slept. However, after just two years, this mattress had softened and lost its support and began to aggravate my back again. By this time I had been operating my business for two years and had been selling tons of firm memory foam mattresses to my customers because I thought I knew that these mattresses offered the best support. I didn't know that these mattresses were going to soften and lose their support but now, because of my own experience, I know better.
Additionally, owning a mattress retail store has presented me with many challenges. One that I experienced that I never would have expected was the surprisingly large number of dissatisfied customers who complain about the body impressions or softening that have developed so quickly in their new mattresses.
As a result of these disappointments and frustrations, I began to research all mattress manufacturers looking for a firm memory foam mattress that wouldn't body impress, soften, and lose its support. I did this for my own benefit and for my customers. I had no luck. I finally realized that if I was going to have the perfect mattress, I was going to have to make one myself. Thus, the Perfection Sleep System® was created.
In the process of creating the Perfection Sleep System®, I quickly learned of a new Consumer Product Safety Commission mattress burn standard (16 CFR 1633) that was to go into effect on July 1, 2007. As I studied this new regulation for the purposes of getting my Perfection® compliant, I became disturbed about the chemicals that would be required to use to meet the new standard. With more research I decided that I would not produce chemical laiden mattress and instead to only offer Perfection by first requiring customers to get a qualified prescription for a chemical free mattress.
To learn more about the Perfection Sleep System®, please see our menus on the top right side of this page. This is an evidence based, and not a marketing based business, so there is a lot to learn. But once you've read and inspected the evidence, you will know that one of the Perfection Sleep System® mattresses is right for you! As you inspect the menus above, you will notice AA in front of each important subject. This stands for "All About." We hope you will be impressed with the information contained in each AA menu.
